The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt : Episode 12

This episode and arc was just way too fast and honestly unnecessary. They didn’t have enough time to build up this conflict at all, and the victory methodology is also just silly and feels too easy I guess. I think that is kinda my issue with this show as a whole. None of the conflicts ended in a believable and realistic way at all.

You aren’t actually watching a show about a genius running a nation. Instead you are watching somebody who just has an unbelievable about of luck and a strong case of dues-ex-machina going on. Suddenly Wein has a solution that shouldn’t work, but for some reason just does. And it wins the war or the conflict with no issues at all.

And because he never fails, you have no stakes at all in the conflicts. Never is it a case that you are trying to see if he can escape these near unbeatable stakes to win the conflict, or maybe barley escape with more than he started. You just know that he will always win and never suffer any real lose ever. It is just too easy for me to really care about.
