I just, I can’t anymore. This is the second damn time they are doing the exact same thing, or is it the third? Were things are proceeding nicely, and than suddenly they decide they need to do this amazing twist. What is it? Could you guess? Something is wrong with Yuno and Yukki randomly decides that instead of trusting the person who is willing to die and kill endlessly for him, to instead trust random strangers.

Also, for a death game honestly not that many important people die at all. Like everyone looks to be on the verge of death, and than for some reason they just stop and don’t do it. It is so lazy and dull and adds nothing at all to it except drag out this show even longer. Like just this episode alone, we had Yukki with a gun who decided not to shoot the Eighth and instead lets her escape. Than for some reason the Eleventh decides to pick up the Eighth, and also proceeds not to kill her even though it would make it easier to win the game. And than finally Yuno literally has both the Eighth and Eleventh at point blank range, two shots in seconds would eliminate half the remaining field. And they just never do it. It is just infuriating padding that I hate.

Honestly that could probably sum up the majority of this show. Like normally I like longer 2 cour shows, you know ones that run 20+ episodes. It gives the show a ton of time to develop the story and the characters and give you a very satisfying story. I wish more shows had 2 cours. But this is the perfect example of a show that didn’t need to be 26 episodes long. Half the show’s runtime is them resetting the status quo and backtracking on things so that it lasts longer. And it is a shame, it probably would be better being shorter if it required them to actually commit to things happening and characters being logical and killing their enemies in a death game.
