Sabikui Bisco : Episode 9

I feel like half this show is based around random and unexpected things happening related to world building and lore that we have no context for. Like we have finally just now learned something about rust and what it is, after 9 episodes. I’m still waiting to learn more in general about why even non-rust related stuff is super mutated. It is like they created a world devastated by a nuclear war with the rust being the fallout, but they have never told or shown us what the bombs were.

Also I am really hoping that Kurokawa is finally out of the picture, cause honestly he just isn’t a good villain. He has no good story or character development or plan. He is just generic evil villain character who does evil thing for power. And that just makes him super boring and uninteresting.

They also have apparently killed off Bisco, which is an interesting move. But I guess at the end of the day he really achieved his main goal and had some good character development in growing closer to Milo and helping Milo grow like Jabi did for him. He has found the rust eater, and along with Milo helped discover the secret behind unlocking it’s powers. He doesn’t have much of a role left to play. Especially now that we know that Kurokawa was causing the rust outbreaks, so without him Milo can just spread the cure around.

Though given the LN goes for 7+ volumes. I feel like nothing will actually be solved with the end of the this season. Some other villain who is poorly developed will appear who is using a new form of rust in some way. And whoever is remaining will have to deal with them. Of course also given that the LN covers feature Bisco, we also know he somehow survives being thrown in lava essentially. Guess he really does end up pulling a Terminator 2 somehow.
