Natsume’s Book of Friends 4 : Episode 8

That was one of the better episodes of the season, new character and some world building that is honestly still really needed. The exorcists of this world are one of those tings I’m always been disappointed with. I want to see more of them and a larger range, those who only fight bad yokai or those who aren’t very good at it or those who are indiscriminate. Really we have only ever seen or learned much about a single other exorcist, Natori, and it really limits the scope of the world.

Though I feel like the reason we never get more information on exorcists wandering around or doing their jobs. Or even outside events of Natsume. Is simply a matter of wanting to keep the status quo. Cause honestly after 4 seasons, I can’t say really anybody in the show is all that different from season 1. They have had some minor character growth, but nothing really has changed. Nobody has left town or come in new, you never hear about things changing in the world, even the school sections never talk about various required tests or anything. In a whole the show just has had a very static and unchanging world.
