In the Land of Leadale : Episode 8

It looks like they are going to change up the current routine and have Cayna stay in one spot for awhile. And I guess it is fine, don’t really have any issue with it. Just that I still don’t really love this show in any way like other shows in a similar vein. You have this OP character who just hangs around and doesn’t really do anything or have any goal in mind. And if the whole goal is to reactivate all the towers, than why is this show not her moving around constantly visiting new cities and tracking rumors of other towers. It just doesn’t really work for me at all.

Also I still don’t understand the whole VRMMO becoming real to some of the players yet at all. And it doesn’t seem to fit well in general. The players really don’t feel like they had any actual long-term effects on the world by this point, when instead you would be expecting them to be ruling the place. If you take a bunch of general players in any MMO the large majority will be far higher levels and have better gear than the normal NPCs. So quickly they would all end up being the Kings and Queens and own financial empires and such. But this world they crafted somehow doesn’t have any of that, and don’t really have a good reason not to.

In the end I guess I would say this just doesn’t feel like an actual VRMMO world become real at all. It feels like one of those set-ups were they wanted a normal fantasy world, than the VRMMO genre got big, so they shoehorned in the VRMMO stuff like so many others. And of course it never works when that happens.
