Freezing : Episode 9

I feel like I have missed something here with this episode. It really feels like a sudden time skip has occurred and different events are playing out. I just don’t understand it at all. This wasn’t were I figured the story was going to be going after the previous episode. And all I can think of is they had a portion of the source material they wanted to make the ending, and screwed up their progression. So quickly had to skip a bunch of content to line the show up to finish at that certain point.
