The Future Diary: Episode 15

This show has fallen so fast and hard it is impressive. At one point I would say it was stupid and dumb, but silly and fun enough to enjoy. I was also fully interested in seeing how they would make Yuki and Yuno work out, like I wanted to see what would happen with this completely dysfunctional relationship.

But starting with the random Yuki kidnapping arc, this has just fallen off a very steep cliff. None of this remotely works anymore. It almost feels like they didn’t know what to do with the Yuki and Yuno relationship, and also how to add these extra characters to the show at the same time. So instead of writing a good story that somehow incorporates them, they skipped all that build up and just had it happen. It is way too sudden.

Like still with this episode, I don’t know why the friends are here with Yuki and Yuno at all. I don’t know what they gain by helping them. I don’t know why they are going along with this literal death game day after day for no reason. They haven’t had the proper character building to make them work in this story at all. But here they are, for some reason?

I think I am going to keep watching this show just to see how horrendous it can keep going and be. Cause I’ve lost any hope of enjoying this show because of story or plot or characters.
