Natsume’s Book of Friends 4 : Episode 2

Looks like the opening arc of the kidnapping is temporarily solved. And the exorcists will not be a bother for a little bit longer again. In the end I guess everything wrapped up fine as expected. But that is one of the issues I do end up having with this show. In season 4 now, and you know everything will always be fine. Very rarely does anyone have any serious consequences or repercussions to the events that happen, that I can’t really feel worried about anyone.

In general, I wonder what the goal is for this show long term. Like I don’t have a clue what they would do to eventually end this in a satisfying way at all. Run out of names in the book of friends? I would love to eventually see them actually introduce something you could say is a set goal or set progress they want to achieve, but in the 4th season they haven’t done it yet and I don’t see that happening.
