The Faraway Paladin: Episode 11

So this show got some major news today that I did not expect, a season 2. And I wish they had announced this much earlier in the show cause I would have been much nicer to it. I’m not as worried about telling a complete or satisfying story in S1 if I know S2 will continue the direct story. So in that case, lets look at this episode as something that will be continued shortly.

And in that case, this was a good episode. Though I don’t know what is up with the pacing. They decided to skip a bunch of content it seems and put it into this montage. Of them helping people out and working together and wandering through this forest. And I think it was all so we could get Will’s lose of control and failure as a leader in his eyes, and his whole change of heart. Something I figure they will be working to solve in the final episode and maybe a couple early episodes in S2.

Something that did have a major downgrade was the visuals of this episode. Man it just stood out so badly, especially when coming off watching other stunning shows. A better part of this episode was made up of pure still images that just panned. No actual animation going on at all, just a still image and digital panning and a voice over. It is just so lazy and cheap, that I figure they must be completely broke and out of money to continue making this season.
