UN-GO: Episode 9

We are most of the way done with this show, and I have to say I really haven’t liked it. The first couple episodes were pretty good to start with. But once it moved onto the more over-arching stories it has fallen apart for me. The characters are not good enough to care the story, the story itself isn’t that good. And I have so many questions about the way these supernatural beings exist and do what they do, that it gets in the way. Heck even beyond them, just the world in general hasn’t really been developed enough for the events they are trying to work with now.

I will say maybe I am being harmed by not watching that prequel movie. But when I started I didn’t actually realize it was a prequel, normally I see movies and figure it is a retelling of the show or a side-story. So if that movie did explain more, than my bad. But I don’t feel like that would fully excuse it.
