The Faraway Paladin: Episode 5

No matter what happens in the rest of this show, the next 7 episodes. I honestly can’t say I would recommend this show to somebody unless they are reading the LN or the manga. This has been an incredibly long 5 episodes, and while I can understand why they have done this. And taken so long to build out his character and backstory. It also makes it incredibly dull and rather boring. I feel like I have watched a 5 episode prologue before the actual show is even starting at all.

And sure, the payoff at the end is pretty satisfying and sad. We did end up spending many episodes with these characters after all. But I can’t say that it was all justified at all, I just don’t think the time invested is gonna be worth it in the end.

Now there is 7 episodes to get introduced to a new cast a characters and learn abut them and grow attached to them. Learn about the larger world and various towns or cities. Get started with the typical new adventurer things that always end up having to happen. And set up some kind of conclusion that feels satisfying for the whole season. And I don’t see any way that it works at all. I just don’t see them doing in a way that works, just don’t have enough time.
