Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere: Episode 2

I feel like I might have a semi-decent understanding of the tone of this show. I didn’t really get it from the first episode, but I think it might be better now. I feel they are hiding the rather depressing events that will happen and have happened, behind the jokes and ecchi moments that occur. Something a bit more light and enjoyable so right off the start you don’t realize how terrible everything is.

Like in this second episode we got some heavy stuff already. Dead childhood friends, forced sex reassignment surgery that didn’t help, the world is mostly dead, and depressing futures for anybody outside of school. Like they need the jokes to lighten the mood so it isn’t all just a very depressing dystopian future.

In general, for the second episode is actually has me kinda interested. More so than I would have expected. So will have to see if it can keep me around for longer.
