Heaven’s Memo Pad : Episode 11

The conclusion of this arc, and this show is shortly upon us. With just a single episode to finish things up, I cannot see if ending in a way that is all that satisfying really. Honestly that has been this whole show thus far, it hasn’t been that satisfying to watch at all. Sure you have the arcs end, you finish up stories and progress to the next, but it just never feels good.

And with that is the character progression and evolution over the course of the show. We really only have Narumi available to make serious progress with over the show, and his progress just doesn’t feel that large and important. Hurting that progress is that many of the other characters really haven’t changed. I can’t say that Alice is different from episode 1, or any of the group of guys we first meet. They only change in a small way if they directly have a story related to them. If not they don’t progress. It has really left the show feeling static and unchanging over these episodes, and I don’t see this final episode changing things at all.

I wonder how things play out in the Light Novel is it based on. If these events play out with better pacing or development so that they feel better.
