Lord Marksman and Vanadis : Episode 9

One of my main issues with this show has been the politics and set-up for these fights are just not very good I feel. I think this show would have been better off with more personal character development and interactions between the characters, give me more of that ecchi stuff and less of the politics between nations that I don’t really understand. They just didn’t do a great job of building it up and explaining what the state of the world is, what larger conflict is happening to suddenly cause all these non-stop wars and invasions.

Meanwhile the stuff that is better, character relationships and development seems to be pushed to the back. The relationship between Tigre and Ellen started off pretty strong and seemed like it was going to develop, and than just froze in place. Along with Tigre’s relationship with any of the other characters.

I think this is another one of those shows that it would be interesting to one day read the Light Novels and see what was actually going on with them. I feel like they must have had a ton of development between the characters that acted as filler between the larger wars and conflicts. But that stuff got cut because they felt the conflict kept the story moving more.
