Laid-Back Camp SEASON 2 : Episode 1
I never loved the first season as some people did. It wasn’t anything overly special at all. Basically just a well done slice-of-life show with cute girls going camping and cooking. But it was enjoyable enough for me to feel like watching the second season. So this second season is largely what I was expecting. Nothing has changed in any way at all. You still have cute girls going camping and hanging out. But really this is what everyone wanted and expected. And I’m perfectly fine with that as well.
Now the first episode did have some a really good start. With seeing Rin as a little kid and freshly learning about camping. Even someone who appears super experienced has to start somewhere right. Now I also love the growth in the characters with getting jobs to pay for the next trip and more gear. Wonder if this is going to be one of those shows in which the characters progress out of high school and into college a couple seasons down the line.
The one point the show is always great at is visuals. The amazing art work of just environmental stills always stands out compared to other shows currently airing. With so many of them being wallpaper worthy. Audio largely doesn’t stand out for me. Background music is soft and just complements the visuals nicely.
I will end up watching it throughout the season still of course. And maybe it will grow on me more in this second season. Who knows?
