Golden Time : Episode 8

Well that was a pretty interesting episode. And makes it pretty obvious that both Banri and Linda liked each other in high school. And Linda just said she wasn’t going to go out with Banri on the balcony to hopefully let him move forward. I do wonder what that odd moment was though with Banri. Was that his true thoughts, or was that ghost Banri taking over for a moment. Honestly super strange.

Also I’ve said it before, but this episode just continues to reinforce the idea for me. That the relationship between Banri and Kouko isn’t exactly what I would call healthy I don’t think. Kouko seems far too attached and kinda possessive of Banri for it to truly be a healthy relationship. And I kinda hope it becomes an issue that needs to be overcome in the future. Of Kouko working through whatever her issues are, and hopefully form a more healthy relationship with Banri. Banri meanwhile I think just really wants that personal connection, one that he is only truly now getting again after waking up. And therefore is ok with this very possessive girlfriend in Kouko.

Honestly this show has a ton of growth potential for these characters. Many of them seem to have some character flaws they can work to resolve over the course of the show. And I really hope in the end they get that development.

Also really feel bad for Takaya. Mr 2-D is the 5th wheel in this friend group for sure. Only one without a girlfriend on this group date.
