Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2 : Episode 8

Well that was an episode for sure, I honestly don’t know where things will end up. It seems the current conflict between the League and Benerit Group will wrap up with this episode, or at least calm down a bit. With the main ringleader out of the picture, they should be forced to come to some sort of resolution.

The final plot arc that will finish things off will be of course Prospera and Eri/Aerial. They aren’t even close to being done with their revenge, and have really only started. And with Eri/Aerial’s abilities, I’m not sure how many things could actually stop their plans of revenge at this point. I’m going to assume the only way it stops and ends, is with Suletta taking a Gundam herself and confronting Eri/Aerial and Prospera. Eventually resulting in Eri/Aerial sacrificing themselves or at least being unable to harm Suletta whom they obvious love.

But back to the school after this episode, this was an absolutely brutal episode. Honestly hundreds if not more have ended up dying in this conflict. And I can’t really say that was a victory for ether side at all. Definitely wasn’t expecting some of the people to die with this episode who did, but they did defy my expectations about not killing off anyone from the Earth house. Also Suletta not ending up in a Gundam in this episode defied my expectations once the fighting started.

In the end I’m not really sure how everything will possibly be wrapped up. By this point I don’t know how Earth vs Space will every get a good conclusion, just too much bad blood exists between the groups. And everyone associated with ether group that could possibly have negotiated some peace feels like they have been removed as possibly negotiators. I wonder if they will leave it open for another season dealing with that conflict, or if something unexpected will happen.
