Lycoris Recoil : Episode 10

So the solution to the problem they created, too many organizations and characters and plot lines is…to just make everything into a single plot. All the organizations are actually one single organization. Therefore we can just avoid actually doing any world building for Lycoris, or explain anything about them that would actually flesh them out. And they can just say Alan is controlling everything. Though they still have a massive missing bit of information they desperately need to explain, who is Alan and the Alan Institute. And how are they running around giving out futuristic technology that nobody can recreate? And how do they apparently control the entire flow of information within Japan, how has nothing ever leaked out about this group? Who the hell are they? And with only 3 episodes left, I have zero confidence I will get the answers I am looking for. Which really annoys me given this is an original, this doesn’t have to happen with an original anime, you can craft your story perfectly to fit into the amount of episodes you have.

Meanwhile Majima has literally nothing else going with his character. He is literally just a discount Joker. he is here to cause chaos and reveal the existence of Lycoris. To supposedly reset the balance of good and evil I guess, nothing else to his character at all. For the main apparent villain of the show, he really is disappointing. And I can’t really say it is he who is disappointing, but the way they have shown the results of his actions. For somebody obviously modeled after the Joker, we never get any scenes like the Joker did to really build him up or obvious chaos.

Honestly, I do not see at all what so many people love about this show. I have seen nothing but endless praise for it. And I just don’t see why. It just isn’t very well crafted show from my perspective at all.
