Summer Time Rendering: Episode 17

Waiting on a fansub that never got posted, man that really delayed me watching this a fair bit. But anyhow, I’ve seen it now right before the next episode releases. And I am excited for that next episode. Most of this episode was just more slow content, nothing major happening. Learning that people are being killed all over the island while Haine tries to heal. Stuff that you would pretty much expect.

We did get something I wasn’t expecting, and it slightly worrying for the future. Ushio seems to be having some issues with a dual personality appearing, it seems resulting from her eye being different. I don’t really know what it means to be honest, or who this other personality is. Maybe it is whoever created Haine. Or maybe the version of Haine that was nice originally in the house during the flashback. But I’m sure this will play a major role in the future events that is for sure.

But most looking forward to this next episode, and the talk with the priest. Everything started with him and the temple. It all started when Shinpei went to visit him, and that conversation from early on will finally be able to happen. And I’m hoping we get some major revelations as to the nature of shadows and the island. We are quickly approaching the end of the show, so I really feel like it is necessary.
