Is this what I think it is, it is progress. Do we finally get to witness Shamiko grow and win her first battle, she really is growing. Took 2 season but she finally defeated a minor low-level familiar. With this progress she might be able to fight a low level demon or magical girl by season 5. But in general it really is some good growth, she actually used her magically rod to change it into a usable weapon to fight back. And it looks like we have another training arc for her, so lets see how much more she can grow still.
