Sankarea: Undying Love : Episode 2

Well ok than, this show is really dark. Like really dark and depressing and disturbing. I was not expecting this to be the story line that starts off this show, and the events that follow. A father who is essentially a pedophile and taking advantage of his own daughter for years, that or just a very serious and troublesome overprotective behavior. Whatever it is, it is incredibly wrong and disturbing.

And than to finish the episode off with the character actually committing suicide. That is just beyond what I figured would ever happen.

Also I want to highlight the visuals of the show are pretty good. It has that slightly stylized images and cuts that work so good that seemed to be very popular in the 2010’s. I know they are probably over-used in general, but I see them so infrequently now that I do love when they show up. I am loo

In general I am into this show. I want to see where things will be going from here, cause I’m honestly not really sure. Like will this devolve into a zombie romance? Or Rea adapting to being a zombie? Just general slice-of-life? Not a clue, but whatever it is, I hope it remains as strong as this beginning.
