Oh yea, I kinda forgot that this would have to be the lead up to the final battle. Given they only have 2 episodes left to wrap everything up. It really doesn’t feel like this final battle is ready to happen at all yet. They have basically made this final fight and build up 4 episodes long. One for Shuu to return and get his powers back. One to learn some more backstory about the events from that first christmas. One to go and confront Gai, probably do like 60% of the fight. And than a final episode to defeat Gai and have a short epilogue section about what happens now.

And this is just ridiculous. It is just amazing that they have managed to screw up the pacing so much on an anime original show with 22 episodes. They have ad so much time to build this up, and they have just failed on ever level. By this point all I can really say is that Shuu has had some decent character development, if not being a bit rushed and slow at times that is awkward.
