Sabikui Bisco : Episode 7

Sadly, this show just isn’t really working for me. It has a whole bunch of interesting concepts and ideas I feel, but doesn’t execute and build them nearly well enough. The entire world and factions and backstory is just left unsaid. So I am constantly wonder what really are the rules for this world, how far can people and things go. What are the power levels? How powerful are the factions? Where did people like Kurokawa come from, what is his story?

Instead what I am left with almost like jumping into a book halfway through the series. It feels like I skipped the books that talked about peoples backstory and setting up the major plot points with mushrooms and rust and Kurokawa. And I wonder if this is an issue of just a bad adaption, they just didn’t have enough episodes to cover everything but also didn’t want to leave the show half-finished. Or is it like this in the source as well.
