Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2 : Episode 5

You know what, I’m gonna go ahead and do it. Give this show a 8 for where it is currently at. This arc has just been absolutely amazing, far better than I could ever predict. Like I enjoyed the small amount of the game story I did, and previous story in the anime, but never expected to get stuff like this. It really just shocks me how good it actually is, and also how quickly and efficiently it has been built up. This was only a 2 episode arc, but I care for the new characters and feel sad when stuff happens to them. Like I just feel like this doesn’t happen very often, but it is doing everything correct for me at the moment.

Adding onto that all, is some just very impressive visuals and general animation. Like this episode and the previous have had some moments that I would rank up with Demon Slayer which I am also watching. For just how impressive the fights are, how fluid the animation and how cohesive everything is. It just looks amazing, that really is the whole thing. Add in the amazing use of color in this show, I’m loving it.

I remember getting similar feelings when I watched Mysteria Friends from them and being amazed at the animation than. But I guess it just goes to show that some of these newer studios that are given good budgets and have some good talent in them, despite not having an old recognizable name behind them. Can just pump out some incredible work.

Now the only question is what do they follow this episode up with. But where it stands now, I think it is one of my favorite shows of the season.
