Bodacious Space Pirates : Episode 3

Currently 3 episodes in, and I really don’t know what this show is going to be or do at all. Or what role the main character Marika will play in it. The cover art and description have this as a pirate show. But we have not seen the faintest hint of actual pirates or space combat or anything related remotely to piracy. I just kinda feel like I’m sitting around waiting for the point of the show to get started at this point. Where is the pirate stuff I was promised? How long do I need to wait?

Also Marika, our main character, when will she actually do something? In 3 episodes we have seen she can pilot a small ship pretty good, and came up with some idea to get the mast up. And I honestly don’t feel like I know any more about her in general than when it started. It really feels like these 3 episodes were just completely unnecessary and long, it just isn’t contributing enough to keep me all that interested.

Gonna have to give this another couple episodes to see if something happens to really grab my attention.
