UN-GO: Episode 11
This show has some issues that make it difficult for me to really like it and enjoy it. The supernatural events are just crazy and feel like they should not exist at all. They don’t mix with the world well I feel, and I think it is cause they don’t know what to do with them. They can’t choose if they should be prominent or not in the story.
The mysteries that get solved are never finished in satisfying ways. I don’t get the feeling they solved a mystery in a way the viewer could also solve it. They hide so much stuff and rely so heavily on the supernatural to just reveal key info, that it is impossible to make a guess. Which really ruins mystery shows for me.
The rest of the characters and story bits are fine enough, but don’t feel like they did all that much for me. I’m at the end here and I have no desire to learn more about the world and the characters. It just didn’t really grab me. And I will say, maybe part of the issue is I overlooked that movie at the very beginning. It is likely my opinion would be slightly different seeing that before. But I can’t say.
