Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere: Episode 8

This show lost me many episodes ago. It just is not doing anything that I really like, and if I wasn’t the majority of the way through already I would drop it. You have characters that I really don’t like, while the other group of characters does absolutely nothing. It can’t decide if it wants to be a comedy, or a serious political drama. Or maybe trying to do both, but failing really hard on both fronts.

On the comedy side, it is just the worst style of comedy that gets no laughs from me. I haven’t laughed a single time in this show. And I don’t see that changing, it just is not funny.

But on the more serious drama side of things, I really don’t have much invested. I’m not really invested in Horizon as a character, I barely know her enough to want to save her or not. I don’t know enough about the world and the politics to know who I want to win in various battles. Plus whenever something serious starts happening they introduce the terrible comedy, and ruin any potential they might have had to save the scene.

I’m just disappointed.
