SPY x FAMILY Season 3 : Episodes 7 & 8

These two episodes are closer to what I feel there really should be more of in this series. There is an tenuous peace between two enemy nations, active spying and assassinations happening, and an overbearing government who is concerned about any potential dissidents. Moments like this are the only times you are reminded that this is actually the setting for the show since most of it is silly slice-of-life stuff. This is also the first real action episode of seeing things outside of the control of Yor or Loid, and instead how things more normally would work in the situation. With state security not necessarily caring about hostages but how weak they may appear, and no essentially supernatural people interfering with the situation. Discounting Anya’s interactions with the hijackers that is.
