I’m gonna do, I’m just gonna drop this anime. It really makes me sad to drop it though. This is a series I enjoy, with characters I would love to see animated and a story that has potential. But the adaption is just so bad visually that I don’t actually want to watch. I honestly wish I could just have the voice cast to an audiobook that I could listen to instead. I’ve long since reached the point in my anime watching career that shows can be ruined by something like poor animation, and when animation makes up what an anime is that ruins shows completely. And I’ve just got far too many things to watch to spend time watching subpar animation, I’ve dropped other franchises that I love like the Netflix Ghost in the Shell seasons.

So I’m a Spider, So What?, I would have loved to watch you to completion. And I wish Crunchyroll had found a better studio and properly funded this adaption. Because I honestly believe this could have been as big as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime if it was given the budget and time to do a half decent job with the adaption. But instead we get something that honestly isn’t worth the space it takes up on the hard drives I have it stored.
