Actually, I Am : Episode 10
Current Episode Score: 7
This episode is just so dumb man, the entire final section of it was just dumb silly tropes. Like not only do we have 3 different girls who all like Asahi for some reason, we also have a forced confession by a spirit/goddess/supernatural being that inhabited some glasses. The whole set-up is just so silly and dumb, I don’t even know what else to say about it.
I’ve always hated love triangles in shows if they take it serious, but in this case I’d say it might actually work. Just because nothing in this show is taken seriously at all, they are all a bunch of idiots. And they haven’t actually spent enough time on the romance aspects of the show at all, so it doesn’t really do anything to harm or help the show outside of the comedic aspects of the set-up. I do wonder how this is different from the manga, I’m assuming much was cut from the manga to reach this point. This moment really is feeling like a late story type thing after we have spent a 100+ chapters with the characters, and instead this is all just kinda randomly coming out now near the end of the show. It does make me wonder though if Asahi will actually confess to Shiragami in the end though, or even actually start dating.
