LAZARUS : Episode 12

So with the final episode to go they are finally tracking down Skinner. And I still just don’t know what the point of this is anymore in the end. There is no time to solve the Hapuna problem at this point, so finding Skinner is more of a case of just recording why he did it for anybody who survives. Unless a magical solution to Hapuna exists which would go against the rules set up in this world. But hey, maybe we will finally get an explanation.

But the real problem with the show at this point is just how obvious that this was meant to be 2 seasons at minimum. Outside of the rushed plot with Skinner and Hapuna. The bigger issue is this very odd plot between the NSA and Army, Axel and HQ assassin. I am legibly confused how they relate at all to the current plot, they kinda just showed up and starting consuming a large amount of screen time for some reason. And they haven’t shown any real connection between the two plot points of the show.

Is the Army somehow behind Hapuna and the current situation, and therefore trying to protect their involvement in it. But to what gain, what does the Army gain from killing a large part of the US population? It just makes no sense at all with the information we have been given thus far. Obviously there was a larger plot here that would have connected this all together better and resulted in a stronger show. But as always happens with these original shows, they create a story larger than the episodes they are given. And than don’t go back to the writers room to cut the script down to fit the new smaller time frame. And instead try to cram way too much into the season so it just becomes a complete mess.
