KOWLOON GENERIC ROMANCE : Episode 5

Man, I feel like this is such a tease of an episode that doesn’t really do a ton for me in terms of expanding on what I want to know. Outside of the final panning shot of the episode with both a destroyed and constructed Kowloon. Which tells me absolutely nothing that I can work with to figure out a bit of the mystery of the show and the characters. Youmei gets some backstory with her escaping her overbearing mother which is great. But I still don’t even know what is real and what isn’t, or even a base understanding of how Kowloon works.

I want to lean on this being some simulation by the gene terra, but how exactly does that work. And what is the point of it all. I’m still lost as to so many aspects of the lore without enough info to help put together the mystery.
