KOWLOON GENERIC ROMANCE : Episode 2

Off to a good second episode I would say, pacing is pretty good it seems and we are being introduced to what I figure are going to be the main characters of the story. While the introduction of Youmei was unexpected, I figure they need somebody for Reiko to bounce idea’s off of and and build theories about the possible amnesia.

But far more interesting is the flashback with Kudou and the past Reiko. This is a situation when the two of them really were completely different characters. With the past Reiko being somebody who it seems was far more mature and spent a large amount of time in the city. Honestly the different between past and present Reiko is pretty large, and just raises a ton of questions about how it came to be. But for that, I figure this new Dr. Miyuki has a large role to play in those questions. Outside of him in general being very creepy, he obviously knew about the past Reiko.

Which of course opens up the theory to Dr. Miyuki did something to past Reiko to de-age her, but it also cause her amnesia to happen. But of course it than leads to the question, why would nobody talk about it, and was it done on purpose or not. You would think if it was from an accident Kudou would be trying to take to Reiko and bring her memories back, but if it was on purpose and Reiko wanted to start over. Why? Honestly everything surrounding Reiko and her amnesia and de-aging seems to be the most important plot point. As for the gene terra floating over the city, my current prediction is it actually plays little role and might be a red herring.
