MF GHOST : Episode 8

While it is fun seeing him pass cars in this low visibility area, it also just keeps pushing the limits of reality far too much for me still. No matter how fearless you in driving around a course with zero visibility. I don’t see anybody able to gain 30+ seconds in that short amount of time. And nobody would be able to predict exactly what the car in front would be doing to be able to set-up a method to pass them that quick. It kinda goes beyond just being a good driver, and into the realms of just Kanata needing a superpower to compete with such an under powered car. The excuse seems to be that Kanata has no fear, but honestly that still pushes it.

Like the final confrontation of the episode between the 86 and Porsche, we see the Porsche somehow flat to the floor but not gaining on the 86. And not through corners, even on the short straight. Even though the driver was being fearless as well at those times. The difference between those cars should have had the Porsche gaining on the 86 with little trouble, and yet it just didn’t.

I mean I know they are going for the hype and excitement and such. But nothing can make me believe that the 86 is able to keep up and pass supercars even when they aren’t going all the way out.
