In the anime, the relationship between Hori and Miyamura is fun and enjoyable. And you really do enjoy the characters and their relationship as it grows. But man, that relationship is a rather dysfunctional one that wouldn’t work at all outside of an anime. Hori has some crazy mood swings and strange repressed feelings and fetishes. It really would create a rather terrible relationship outside of creating an enjoyable anime/manga.
