Gatchaman Crowds : Episode 8

I don’t really love this episode, and I think it comes down to still not understand the motivations of the primary antagonist Berg. I just don’t understand anything about them at all, they just seem to be this super vague character that decides to destroy worlds. And I guess they do so by giving powers to people who can be easily convinced to do evil, and just disrupt society? But that isn’t really destroying worlds or doing long lasting harm, so I just don’t know. Meanwhile we have JJ who literally hasn’t done anything in the show, I don’t really understand who this alien who gives out powers is or how he relates to anything at all.
