Raven of the Inner Palace : Episode 10

As I watch the show, something I’m unsure about is where the story is actually heading. Like I don’t feel like there is really an overarching plot of the whole show. Or any major conflict that would arise in the future. Sure we are getting some character development with Jusetsu as she makes some friends and gets closer to Koushun. But all the various events have been rather self contained, and don’t seem to link together. So I’m unsure if I would want to pick up the Light Novel after the show is over to continue the story, because I don’t really know where it would be going.
