Raven of the Inner Palace : Episode 7

For a minute there of this episode, I thought this show was about to get extra dark. With Jusetsu forcefully casting off a ghost to the after world against his wishes. And ignoring any lingering issues that he was still trying to deal with.

In general though this was a really good episode, and feels like a major turning point for both Jusetsu and Koushun. Their relationship is in the best place it has been yet the entire show. They are much closer, and willing to actually sit down and talk and engage in more casual conversations.

Plus it seems like at least in the source material, the end goal will be the two having true romantic feelings for each other. You already see some of it with the choices Jusetsu makes and how she talks about him, choosing the presents that he gave her. And entertaining him and being willing to open up more to him. Though I don’t know if this is something that will also happen fully in the anime, given the source material has 7 volumes worth of content. And I’m unsure how far along we are.
