And with the second episode, I think I might re-evaluate my opinion on how the show looks. I actually think I really like the visual style they went with. The black letterbox and the film grain they are using over top the image gives the entire show a kinda, cinematic feeling. That I’m sure will have a ton of mixed opinions about depending on if you like that type of stuff. But when it is so easy to just make a visually boring show that is also technically detailed, I like seeing things like this. When they are willing to do something a bit different with the visuals to make the show stand out some.

As for the story and the characters, well at this point I feel like that is the weak point. I’m not all that invested in any of the characters and don’t really have all that much of an idea of what any of this means. It definitely feels like we are in the prologue, or prelude I guess. And while the name is proper, I don’t know if it makes for all that great viewing if you have no investment in the source or interest in it. I just guess I haven’t seen a hook yet to get people to stick with the show. For me, I’ll keep watching. I’m interested enough in the story I saw in my limited time with the game to give it more time.
