Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina : Episode 1

Ok, time to watch a show that seemed pretty good when it came out a couple years ago. That I just skipped at the time for whatever reason at the time. And we are off to a pretty good start with episode 1. We have Elaina who seems to be a pretty fun character, just a super hard working and skilled kid who had a goal in mind and did everything she could to reach that goal. A father who really didn’t seem to want to let his kid go, and a mother who was just pure supportive. And finally a mysterious Stardust Witch(Fran) who isn’t very good at the whole being tough thing it seems, and was essentially paid by the mother to support Elaina.

I am looking forward to where this goes from here, are we looking at the classic pure wandering story in which each episode is a different city or town and adventure. Or more mini-arcs with each 3/4 episodes about solving problems in a different location. And when are we going to run into Fran again, as I doubt this is the last time we see her in this story.

Also want to mention I was pretty impressed by the visuals in this first episode. And hope it keeps up during the whole show. And animation looked good, and any CGI they used was blended well into the traditional animation that I didn’t notice it. Just in general it is a very pretty show. I have high hopes for this one.
