Beautiful Bones -Sakurako’s Investigation- : Episodes 10 & 11

So I figured there was an overarching plot to this show, but what I wasn’t expecting is this is where the show would go. Or how these final episodes would end up leading to. I don’t see them wrapping up this mystery in the next episode, or resolving the plot thread between Sakurako and Shoutarou in a single episode. Which means most likely the last episode will end up feeling a bit disappointing and it all ending up being a very large read the source material ending. Which is fine I guess, it happens enough. But it just isn’t a very interesting or good ending for the anime to stand on by itself which I always find annoying.

As for the case they were solving, it appears to largely be a case of manipulation between friends and this third party who helped push them along paths they may have not taken otherwise. It all largely works out with things being discovered, and hopefully everyone can get some proper assistance for mental health going forward. I am slightly annoyed how often they just dig up graves and disturb crime scenes though before calling the police, Sakurako is relying heavily on her family name to keep them out of trouble I guess.
