Blood-C : Episode 8

I am really interested to see what this world they are in is. I don’t fully understand where this story has been taking place at all. Is this magic or technology? Because it is pretty obvious that it isn’t the real world, they have some type of bet or deal in place. After Saya seemingly got captured, and now she is fighting to win the bet she doesn’t remember. But all the extra info to explain the events just isn’t here yet. And I am really looking forward to were this goes.
