KOWLOON GENERIC ROMANCE : Episode 12

So everything is coming to an end here it looks like, with Kudou finally making some sort of choice about Kowloon. From the way he talks, I guess he has essentially kept resetting Kowloon over and over again so that time never progressed and he could never loose Reiko. But now someplace in him he has started to get tired of the same Kowloon and same Reiko, seemingly wanting things to actual progress and change. And now he is just going to get rid of the whole thing, maybe to reset it again or just leave. The real question of course is around Reiko in all of this, while we are seeing the other people in Kowloon vanish what will happen with Reiko. Has she developed enough to avoid the same fate as the others in the city.

Than we have the question how the heck Kudou is controlling Gena Terra anyhow. That really is one of the major questions that has been left open that I would love to learn about in the next episode. How is he related to this project at all, and how has he essentially managed to take over the project to such a degree.

Related to the general reproduction though, I do think the idea behind the tech is really cool. Forget about recreating Kowloon and the people, how far and how big can it be used for. Could you use it to recreate other old famous places from history for tours or essentially very immersive theme parks.

Anyhow I’m looking forward to this final episode and how they wrap this all up. I don’t know how satisfying the end will be, and I don’t know how much we are missing from the manga that hasn’t been translated yet. But that question won’t be answered for some time still due to how slow Yen Press is.
