Technically it happened pretty much, like pretty much the confession has happened. But also in typical fashion for this show/manga. Things just keep getting drawn out longer and longer and can’t just be straightforward. So this entire confession was done while he was drunk. So now we get to endure even more waiting while he attempts to do the whole thing again, but this time sober. In the end they get there, but I honestly don’t know if it really ends up being worth it.
